Day +4  This is the day the calendar shows I will start feeling the effects of the chemo.  I do to some degree my hands are getting pressure sensitive my guts are starting to churn a little, my mouth feels a little funky.  Still so far so good,  I've been through this all before.  Today's counts show

wbc .7  (was 1.1)
rbc 9.1 (was 9.1)
anc .6 (was .9)
platelets 19 (was 29)

so things are dropping as expected.  It just started thundering an lightening. Looks like a good day to watch more movies.

Thanks for your continued prayers...

  1. I'll bet you're dreaming of the day when your blood counts won't be the focus of your day, and you can get back to talking sports with friends and having fun with your wife and family. A friend of mine is a year out from her diagnosis, and she's just getting back to her pre-diagnosis life, with limitations, of course. I so don't want to become my disease. I think a sense of humor goes a long way in keeping your sanity, and you seem to have a good one! Enjoy your movie day!

  2. Thinking about you today. Funny that Sherry mentioned sports -- since you are on your way to becoming a huge Packer Fan :) Raining like crazy up here the last few days - thunder and lightening too. I am glad things seem to be progressing as expected. A good sign. Love to both of you - and prayers always!
