3:30 pm UPDATE - not happy about being moved.. The floor is divided into north and south. People who are positive for VRE are on the South side, negative on the North side. VRE is a bacteria that many people carry in their guts that does not affect them, but when you have no immune system can cause a problem. Scott is negative. They moved us to the positive side because that is the only open room they had. They have assured us that they are taking every precaution to keep us safe and make sure Scott does not get it, but the doc said it would be better if we went back to the negative side. Needless to say at 4am when they told us this I was not happy. No coffee and no sleep=crabby Betty.
Things to be thankful for...
Scott is doing well, not sick, still eating, still a smart *ss.
Chaplain Aaron stopped by,so that was great. He is so positive and funny.
My BFF Maria is en route and staying for a couple of days. We are going out for Indian tonight and tomorrow, she and my sister Karen and I are getting mothers day pedicures for a treat.
All of you praying for us.
So today's pic is a treat, they are giving Scott gamma globulin as an immune booster. He has a cough, but no respiratory infection, so they are giving it to him so his cough does not blossom into something bad. The iv comes in a glass bottle which I am hoping they let us keep because it will be the $14,000.00 vase. That is how much the 30ML bottle costs. Scott thought the bubbles were cool.
Day + 6 Today started out with a water leak at the windows. I woke up and thought it was hailing, the Betty said the window was leaking. It wasn't raining so the nurse called maintenance and sure enough there was a water leak two floors up. We were then moved to a temporary room at 0430 hrs. I then got platelets as I fell to 8000 and they transfuse at 1o,ooo My other blood counts, white cells and Neuts are veery low, whites were .4 and neuts will be .1 or too low to count. Today is the democratic primary, so please get out and vote. We submitted a form for absentee ballots but they haven't arrived yet. Yesterday I applied for a fishing trip with Reel Survivors, This is a non profit organization that provides everything from all the equipment, food and lodging, group discussions with others with cancer, and its all sponsored and no cost to me. It wii be in
Onalaska (LaCross) in September. I get a one on one guide. They have these all over the Country, but I won't be able to fly yet. What wonderful thing this group does.
God Bless,
Scott

Scott, I bet you missed Tuesdays when you were home, at least you are negative and hopefully you can be moved back to the negative side very soon. It's good to hear you are still being a smarta*#, you must still be feeling okay. We are thinking of you guys and you are in our prayers.
