I went for my monthly visit to Chicago today. I have been itching and getting a rash lately, the rash usually goes away quickly. I have had a dry mouth also. The doctor said it is a very mild form of graft vs host, she told me to go back up to .6 on the anti rejection med Tacrolimus. She said we will see if that takes care of it instead of going to steriods, as it is very mild. My counts were all up, my white count was at low normal, my red is still about a point low, platelets are 105, up from 95 two weeks ago. I also had a pulmonary test and I still have issues from to the pneumonia, however, it is improving. I asked about letting me go back to full duty, she said to wait a month and see what happens with the graft vs host symptoms. So I will have to wait until November 5th at my next appointment. I just thankful to have light duty to work. I do miss working patrol. I saw my friend Ed and his wife at the doctor's office. He looks great, he had a umbilical cord stem cell transplant and has Dr. Frankfurt also. So now I get my blood tested every other week. I probably will not post until then, unless the graft vs host gets worse instead of better. God Bless, Scott
