Today is my one year anniversary/birthday for getting my donor stem cells. I have submitted the paperwork to find out who my donor is, I waiting for a response. I thought it was tomorrow, but Betty had a card and present for me and I paged back through the blog and sure enough she had it right. I saw some frightening pictures as I paged back. I'm still not ready to look back to the treatment times, I nearly get a panic attack when I look at them. I scares the hell out of me. I was out cutting firewood today, it was great to be able to do that. Yesterday I went turkey hunting, I saw three on my way into the area, but I was carrying all my stuff. They were right where Steve said they would be. I set up an called for about 4 hours, nothing. I'll probably try again tomorrow, I really wanted to get some wood cutting done today. I have been rained out so many times so far.
God Bless,
Scott
Happy (New)Birthday Scott! You look great! Don't look back at those pictures with sadness, look at them with pride at how far you've come, what you've gone through and overcome and what lies ahead for you. You are a true inspiration to many and you should be proud of how strong you are. You're living proof! Hope to see you soon, Mike & Trina

ReplyDeleteHappy New Birthday Scott. You and Betty have faced this challenge with such a high level of optimism and faith. You are both such a great example for all of us. Let us know when you two are preparing that turkey you're going to get this week and we'll all bring a dish to share. We can all drink a toast to Donor Dan and the miracle of life. Love you both. Mary & Mike
