Hello Today I got my ferritin result and I'm at 1660, down from 3000 or so. I'm going back on Exjade soon to get below 1000, then I won't be too concerned about it anymore. I was not talked to by Betty as stated in her post, I was waiting for the ferritin result before posting. The restasis for my eyes is currently making them worse, but I was told it would burn for a while in the begining. My taste buds have really come around and although my cravings and likes have changed greatly, all things taste more normal now. I will be getting my childhood vaccinations in two weeks. I have to get all of them again, I should say it's recommended I get them, I don't have to. I really don't have concerns about a few shots after all the poison I had in treatment. So all is going very well, still very tired and could sleep all day if allowed to. I'm hoping that will get better soon, but it's still good to be alive.
God Bless,
Scott

Glad you posted Scott. I was getting worried after your last post, and was relieved to read your wife's post. She was right ;0) There are people like us who share a common misery and need to hear positive posts from others. You have always kept your attitude in the right place, and I commend you for that. I can definitely do without the snake photos, though!! Egads!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear the ferritin is coming down and that you'll be getting your vaccinations. I've had 2 rounds of them so far and will get my third round this month. No problems with any of them.
I have my 1st birthday coming up and will have my bone marrow biopsy (always such fun as I have ROCK hard bones) to check out the inner-workings. Every day I allow a few thought to roam to "what if..." but in general, I'm on top of the world. Like you, happy to just be HERE a year later.
Big family reunion planned in Newport RI for the 4th of July. I hope I can go with a smile on my face.
Take good care of yourself...listen to your body...rest when you need to...rest is healing.
Your friend from South Carolina...where the sun is shining a hot 97 degrees today.
