Tuesday was a long day at Chicago. I was told my bronchoscopy would just be a flush and catch and there would be no need for platelets. On our way to Chicago we got a call telling us that I would in fact need platelets as they were also going to snip out tissue to biopsy. They can't get platelets ready until they get blood from me because it has to be crossed and matched because I was getting reactions without the cross and match platelets. So a very long day for Betty sitting with me in a same day surgery room. The procedure went well and I hope to hear something within the next couple of days. If it would be fungal it takes up to two months to get the results. I really did not want to ever have to get blood products again, but I had no choice. I'm praying that this gets resolved and my numbers go back up.
God Bless,
Scott
Scott you are in our thoughts and prayers. Take care, Steve and Carol
ReplyDeletePraying for you Scott. Sounds like you're in good hands but just in case they aren't doing this already have them check a vitamin/mineral panel most specifically copper. just to cover that base. as you wait to find results, perhaps start juicing fresh fruits/veggies especially kale/greens/cilantro/carrot. glad you stopped drinking beer. you gotta give your body all the nutrients it needs right now. thinking of you. Sherry
ReplyDeleteScott, I hope all goes well. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and Betty.
ReplyDeletePraying for positive news from Dr. Olga. Never thought I would be happy to hear that you had pneumonia. Any other diagnosis is just not an option. Hang in there Scott. We love you.
