I went to see Dr. T for labs and because I have been having some digestive issues.  My labs for my blood are ok, platelets as always are low, 62.  My liver enzymes are elevated and my Ferritin is 3300 which is high.  So the plan is to take exjade, the drug that costs $9500 dollars to rid me of the excess iron.  Then in a month we will recheck labs and if the liver hasn't settled down I may be getting a biopsy :(   I'm hoping that getting the iron/ferritin under control will bring everything else in line.
