Thursday, May 17 - day +15.

So the good news is that Scott had the start of an immune system. It is called ANC and is a combination of white blood cell count (up to .6 from .4 yesterday) and other things. His is .1 today. If he gets to .5 that is considered the minimum to have an immune system, and they let you go from the hospital at about 1.0.

He is sleeping a lot. He is starting to have skin breakdown from being in bed too much, so he tried walking yesterday but his heals are blistered so that did not go well. He was kind of tiptoeing an tweaked his back but it is ok now.

He still has the mouth and throat sores, very painful, but once his numbers come up it is supposed clear up quickly. I just hope he can get a healthy appetite back quickly.They have had him on IV feeding for a few days now, but I can't help but think he has lost some weight. He is retaining a little water, maybe 5-10 lbs,nothing compared to last time.

I hope we stay on track to go to the apartment soon. It will be so nice to just go sit in the park with Scott and watch the dogs, even if he has to wear a mask. And of course there is the fishing....

Keep him in your thoughts as you enjoy the weather today. Ask GOD to make him whole again..
