We Get to Stay Home!!

Mixed news today.  The bad, my platelets dropped from 116 on Friday to 43 today.  The good, I won't be admitted to the Hospital.  I have an appointment on Friday for the scope procedure.  The rest of my counts are pretty good and stable.

Hi All - it's Betty. So Scott talked to the doc since his digestive system has been normal for the last few days, and his other numbers looked good, she was ok with him having the proceedure as outpatient on Friday. Even though that means 2 trips to Chicago in one week, we won't have to stay in the hospital at all!!!! Not only is the thought of staying in the hospital horrible, the thought of Scott picking up a bug there is scary. There is NO place like home. This Thursday is our 4 year anniversary, and this Sunday is Scott's 50th. Lots of things to celebrate!!

We still have not heard how well the graft took (how much of Scott's immune system is Donor Dan and how much is Scott). Hopefully the doc will get those test results this week.
