Yesterday I saw Dr. T and I was hopeful to see a lower ferritin level.  I got my Christmas present a little early.  I'm now at 495 which puts me around 100 over normal high.  I get to stop the chelation, it's one less med :), and now we will see if my liver starts to improve.  I'm getting a lot of good news lately. :)   Dr. T said we will check it again in two months to see if it remains low.  I'll see the transplant Dr. before then and I'm pretty sure he will test it.  So if you are going through this and everything seems to be going bad, just hang in there and it will probably change for the better.  Merry Christmas to all!
God Bless,
Scott

  1. I'm so happy for you Scott! Such a wonderful Christmas present.

I've been following you since fall of 2012 when my 52 yo husband was diagnosed with MDS and then AML.

I thoroughly enjoy watching your progress. There couldn't have been better news this close to Christmas!
