Numbers continue to climb...but

Scott feels like crap. Fever off and on, running to the bathroom (which is no easy feat when you have to unplug 3 cords and wheel dilbert with you), coughing and "throwing up". He has not eaten anything in several days, so the throwing up is terrible. They are checking to see if  he has CDIF (sp) which they do whenever someone has diarehha. They won't give him anything to control it until the results come back! Hopefully this morning.  Mostly sleeping. I hope he eats a little today and keeps it down.

Great news is he is off the morphine He can till push the button if he wants but that has not happened in 48 + hours. His throat pain is better so that is great. Another day of waiting for him to heal.

Karen and I went to give blood and she could not because she lived in England. It was in 1980 for cryin out loud, but they say the mad cow can hang around for 20+years. I'm glad the red cross/cdc has such strict guidelines. Karen was glad too.

Will see what the docs say today and update later - Betty

Docs came in and my anc is in the normal range.  I get platelets as have had a couple of severe nose bleeds.  Rad blood was good, whitecount continues to rise.  The morphine is coming off completely, dilbert is losing weight.

God Bless,
Scott

  1. Scott, sounds like your blood counts are doing good. I hope you turn the corner soon, with the chemo side effects. We will pray that all, keeps going well with your healing and you get to leave the hospital on Monday. Both of you take care.
