Gettin my moneys worth

Danger
Today I get IV magnesium, two different IV antibiotics, two units of blood, one unit of platelets, then the chocolate pudding as Steve Thomm calls it.  Its really microfungion, an anti fungal and it has to be protected from light.  It's sunny today, only the second time since I move to the lake view room, at least in the morning.  But It's great to sit by the window and feel the sun.  The last dose for day four of chemo is going in right now.  Wednesday morning will be the last dose of this round.  Not looking forward to another bone marrow biopsy.  I think its the equivalent to drilling for oil and then pulling/tugging out the deepest tissue in your body.  The two parts that are painful it the freezing part and then when they break through the pelvic bone and suck out the marrow. That part hurts about as bad as anything I have felt, but it only lasts a couple of seconds.  Oh, well, that's not coming up for about another week.  Had the worst hiccups yesterday.  It comes from the chemo, but when they last a long time it gets painful.  Enough complaining, I still feel pretty good so I'll go on that note.
God Bless,
Scott

Happy to be in the sun.

  1. I guess if you can't be outside directly in the sunshine, your window is the second best thing. Wow, you have to wait a whole week to think about having the biopsy...sorry:(
Hope the sun keeps shining in on you. Keep your spirits up! Hugs, love, and prayers.

  2. Scott, you have been through a lot, don't feel bad about complaining, once in awhile. You are doing great with your attitude and sense of humor through this. Here is a Deep thought by Jack Handey: If you go in for a job interview, a good question to ask is, if they ever press charges. Take care Steve and Carol

  3. Glad to see that you are getting some Vitamin D. I don't think that it is really complaining, your just trying to get your feelings out in the open. Glad to see Betty is getting some of her stuff, haha. If you guys need anything just give me a buzz, I think that I am only a little while away. I will have to look at when I have off next and come visit and maybe take Betty to lunch or shopping.
    Luv ya guys,
    Pam
