Today I can report that my eye issues are greatly improved. I had an eye infection and went to the eye doctor. He gave me antibiotics, looked at my eyes and told me that other than the infection, they are improving. At the time they did not feel improved. I told him I tried wearing my contacts and that was most likely how I got the infection. He told me that wearing contacts is another treatment option for my eye problem but it tends to mask the problem, not fix it. He said he normally puts people like me with dry eyes on preventative antibiotics if they are going to wear contacts.
I asked if as long as I was going to be taking an antibiotic anyway, could I try wearing a contact in my right eye. My right eye is more painful by far. He said after three days of antibiotics I could try it and he gave me a non prescription contact. This is wonderful, my eyes feel much better and now they simply feel like dry eyes, not the pain I had before. I have been wearing the contact for about a week and I will not give it up. What a relief! Life is getting better.:)
God Bless,
Scott
